Simple Sauteed Mushrooms

 Servings: 1 3/4 cups


  • 2 Tbsp olive oil, divided

  • 2 pkgs (8 oz each) sliced baby bella mushrooms, washed, patted dry with paper towels, divided

  • 2 tsp soy sauce

  • Black pepper to taste


  1. Heat 1 Tbsp oil in pan on MED-HIGH until oil faintly smokes. Add half of mushrooms and toss to coat; spread in single layer (do not overcrowd pan).

  2. Cook, without stirring, 5 min.

  3. Cook, stirring often, about 2 min, until browned. Transfer to plate. Repeat with remaining mushrooms.

  4. Add all mushrooms and soy sauce to pan; season with pepper. Stir to combine.

Chef tip: Try with shiitake, king oyster, or any of your favorite mushrooms.
