The Dukan Diet : The revolutionary French solution for permanent weight loss

Since being launched in 2000, the Dukan Diet swept across France, championed by people who successfully lost weight following the unique four-phase system. The Dukan Diet has helped millions in France, where it has been number one for more than ten years and was successfully adopted in over twenty countries around the world, from United Kingdom to Brazil.

The Dukan Diet claims it’s the ideal diet for people who want to lose weight quickly but can’t be bothered with counting calories or weighing their food. Unlike many other diet books, it promises to help keep off lost weight for good.

Devised by Dr. Pierre Dukan, a French medical doctor who has spent his career helping people to lose weight, the Dukan Diet rejects counting calories and promises permanent weight loss while allowing adherents to eat as much as they like. According to media reports over 1.5 million French women rely on the diet to maintain their figures and apparently it has also been used by models and celebrities including Giselle Bundchen and Jennifer Lopez.

Until recently the diet has only been available in France but the English version of The Dukan Diet officially went of sale in 2010. In the UK it immediately went to the top of Amazon’s diet book list, and the online program is now available. The Duken Diet was officially released in the USA on April, 19, 2011.
