The main difference in a keto vs low carb diet is your carb intake, and therefore ratios of your macros (carbs, fats, protein). With a keto diet, carbs are lower, and people on this diet can enter a stage of ketosis, which switches your body from burning glucose for fuel to burning fat for fuel. On the keto diet, when a person is in ketosis, they don’t tend to be very hungry, and they have more mental clarity. With a low carb diet, people may not get in to ketosis, or may dip in and out.
